ABOUT ME

Dr. Michele M. Wages has served Texas students in a variety of positions from classroom teacher to Language Arts Facilitator, Instructional Specialist, College Professor and as a Content and Instructional Coordinator over the past 25 years.

Dr. Wages received her bachelor’s degree in social science and elementary education from the University of Michigan in Flint, her Master’s in educational leadership from Texas Wesleyan University located in Fort Worth, TX and her doctorate degree in curriculum and instruction from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. Her dissertation topic dealt with the effects of two types of bilingual programs on Hispanic student achievement in reading for grades 3-6.

She has presented at TALE conferences about Cultural Responsiveness and Cultural Intelligence strategies and provided professional developments at campus and district levels on various educational topics.
